Jason Kordas began his catering career more than 26 years ago in New York City producing small dinner and cocktail parties for a variety of clients. He learned about the food business through the best possible way: Experience. His culinary expertise came from growing up in a Greek, Italian and Corsican-influenced home in New York City.
In 1988, Jason formed a partnership with Maxwell’s by the Sea in Huntington Beach – shepherding a catering idea to a one million dollar plus business in one year. After five years in partnership, Jason secured and took over the operation of a separate banquet facility and further increased the sales of the company.
Since 1994, Jason has been the sole proprietor of Jason’s Catered Events (JCE). He opened and ran Jason’s Cafe in Tustin from 1995 until 2000. Jason’s Catered Events grew so extensively during these five years that he closed the restaurant to concentrate solely on the catering business.
In July 2001, the Santa Ana Performing Arts and Events Center in Historic Old Town Santa Ana became his new catering home. Jason turned the facility from an abandoned building to a full-scale event facility.
Jason’s Catered Events now has a new home in the heart of Old Towne Orange and continues to serve all of Southern California including Orange County, Los Angeles County, Inland Empire, San Diego County, and many more areas with full service customized catering. Jason and his team are excited to cater out of his new restaurant, Jason’s By The Circle Restaurant and Bar, where Jason serves creative dishes from around the globe!
Over the years, Jason has put together an incredible team of Chefs, Event Captains, Coordinators, Sales Staff, and Servers. By surrounding himself with the best staff in the industry, his events flow seamlessly. Jason’s Catered Events continues to thrive, continually creating spectacular events all over Southern California.
