Lauren and Kit came to us looking for a beautiful venue where they could host a cool and casual wedding to fit their style, while accomplishing an elegant and classic feel. They chose the Richard Nixon Library as their venue and we were so excited to have some fun with the menu. Our goal was to execute their dream of a wedding showcasing their personality, and when they said their favorite was Mexican Food… it was decided! Mexican food it shall be!

Chef/Owner Jason Kordas had a great time customizing a Mexican Menu for Lauren and Kit’s wedding reception. The deliciousness started with the cocktail hour, when guests enjoyed a full Nacho Station featuring Jason’s Spicy Guacamole and Mango Salsa. Our friendly and professional servers tray passed hors d’oeuvres including Melon Ball Salad Skewers and Assorted Mini Quesadillas.

Once the doors to the East Room opened, guests were in awe at the breathtaking sight of the elegant East Room at The Richard Nixon Library.

There is nothing like a cold Coke in a glass bottle… Lauren and Kit know that, so they requested it as their Toast! Awesome.

As for the Main Course, Lauren and Kit pictured a Buffet, so that they could offer their guests an extensive list of Entrees and Sides. The Buffet we created included Enchiladas, Skirt Steak, Build your own Tacos, Cilantro Rice, Drunken Beans, and Chipotle Ranch Salad. Everyone knows you can’t have a real Mexican meal without the countless sides, which included Cilantro, our own Pickled Carrots and Jalapenos, Salsa Verde, Sour Cream, Assorted Chiles and Olives. Yum! Load it up!

Zelo Photography captured all these great moments and gave Lauren and Kit some awesome shots that they can forever cherish.

Special thanks to Ashley Powell with AGAPE Planning, for her great work, as always! She’s always so wonderful to work with.
